New Ken Burns Documentary on PBS: “The American Buffalo”

This month, “The American Buffalo: A Film by Ken Burns” will debut on PBS. It is a two-part, four-hour series that takes viewers on a journey through more than 10,000 years of North American history. It traces the Buffalo’s evolution and its significance to the people and landscape of the Great Plains.
“The American Buffalo” ends and highlights the foundational work of the InterTribal Buffalo Council (ITBC) and its partner organizations — including the Wind River Tribal Buffalo Initiative.
